5 Easy Reads for Personal Growth

If you’re anything like me, and if you are even reading this, then I bet you are, you LOVE personal growth and development. You could have it for dinner. You might even call yourself somewhat of a personal growth junkie! Well, you’re in luck because I am sharing my top five books for personal growth with you today.

**These are in no particular order, because let’s face it, how could I decide?!!

  1. The Magic of Thinking BIG by David Schwartz, PH.D. This book really dives into mindset and gives real-world examples of how we f*ck ourselves before we even try. It’s a pretty quick read, not too heavy, and always gives examples of how we can turn that thinking around and really put our best foot forward.

  2. The Succcess Principles by Jack Canfield. Yes, he’s the Chicken Soup guy, and I’ve never read any of those books, but if you’re looking for something to give you a little pep-in-your-step and get those creative engines going, this book is for you. It covers everything from mindset to law of attraction to goal setting and taking action. I read this a few years ago when I was in a real downer, and this puppy helped to get me off the couch.

  3. You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. I love her. I adore her writing style. It’s funny, and you can tell she once felt very un-badass. Her relatable stories and narrative help put your limiting beliefs into perspective so you can see just how close you are to being one step closer to being VERY badass.

  4. Loving What Is by Byron Katie. If you have ever dealt with problems in a relationship-with children, parents, spouse, friend, partner. You HAVE to read this book and DO THE WORK. This method has given me more liberation than anything I have ever tried. Seriously, THE WORK has set me free from feelings of sh*t (I don’t know if that’s even a correct saying, but it seems to work here) that stayed with me YEARS after one of my relationships had ended. GET THE BOOK. DO THE WORK, You’ll thank me later 😊

  5. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson. I read this book on my six-week trip to Italy. It is hilarious and eye-opening to realize how many f*cks we give to SH*IT THAT IS NOT IMPORTANT AND THAT WE ACTUALLY DON’T CARE ABOUT AT ALL. Needless to say, reading this book planted the seed to quit my job, start my own company, and go hang out in Colombia for a few months. Highly recommend.
